Hace aproximadamente un año, empecé este blog diario para enfrentar la trayectoria de mi vida después de haber sido diagnosticado con cáncer agresivo. Sólo he faltado escribirlo muy pocos días y mi estilo de vida es muy atareado.
Cuando no recibo noticias de mis amigos luchando con condiciones mortales me siento muy preocupado. No he oído de algunos buenos amigos por un buen rato. No por correo electrónico o por DM en Twitter. Tengo buena memoria y me doy cuenta cuando no he oído de ustedes a pesar de que también recibo miles de correos electrónicos al día.

The King's Speech desde La Derecha del Escenario
Hoy vi mucho del show desde la derecha del escenario. El tema general del show es un homenaje a la música de cine. Uno de mis momentos favoritos es cuando la orquesta toca la Séptima Sinfonía de Beethoven, Segundo Movimiento. Esta fue la música utilizada en la película The King's Speech. Es muy emotivo en la película y fue profundamente conmovedor desde mi posición en La Derecha del Escenario.

Bernard Edwards y Nile Rodgers: adentro de la caratula de C'est CHIC
Esta semana marca el 31o aniversario de la muerte de John Lennon. La canción "Let It Be" fue acreditada como Lennon/McCartney y fue su última canción juntos. Mi colaboración con Bernard Edwards fue muy similar en que no siempre escribimos juntos, pero siempre nos acreditados las canciones de esa manera durante los años de la CHIC Organization LTD.
El último año de mi vida me ha hecho ver mi vida desde otro punto de vista - y también la vida de mi ex pareja. Cuando estaba escribiendo mi blog hoy, tuve dos casos de déjà vu. Creo que este fue un mensaje para publicar este vídeo de nuevo. Es un especial de televisión producido por Br@in para cadena Japones WOWOW, que se centra en mi vida y la muerte de Bernard en Japón. No estoy seguro de por qué el productor eligió esta canción Lennon / McCartney - pero hay algo muy poderoso en el mensaje de "Let It Be".

Tengo una nueva apreciación por tocar guitarra. Hace aproximadamente un año, poco después de que fui diagnosticado con una forma agresiva de cáncer de próstata, que también tuve un problema neurológico que me hizo perder fuerza en la mano. Mi mano derecha no es exactamente lo que era antes, pero está mejorando.
El año que viene voy a tocar en vivo más de lo que he hecho desde que The CHIC Organization se formó originalmente. Quiero tener una experiencia musical más completa que he tenido. Vamos a tocar un repertorio que incluye popurrís de más composiciones etéreas CHIC, así como otros grandes éxitos que no generalmente tocamos por falta de tiempo.
