When you're hit by cancer you've got to be strong to make it. Though I feel pretty good, I know things can change in an instant.

I'm currently doing a new CHIC album and I love to hear Bernard Edwards' (R.I.P.) voice in my head when I'm creating.

As soon as I hear him I know what he'd say if he were here with me... the jokes, the criticisms and the praises. I've always surrounded myself with the great musicians - and that pattern continues.

Like a morning prayer, I watch our first Soul Train interview every time I write... because Remembering His Death Gives Me Life!
