"Good Times" - It Flies Pt. 1
Aug 25 - MTV VMA's Daft Punk's "Lose Yourself To Dance" shows us all together again decked out in Saint Laurent
After being diagnosed with "extremely aggressive prostate cancer" a couple years ago, I ramped up my life into overdrive. I've done more recordings and concerts than in any two-year period of my life - because no matter how bad things get, making music always makes me feel better.
I've had a high work output all my life. But just to give a little perspective to the previous statement, I'm posting one photo for everyday of the last three months of the summer touring season in reverse order.
Because when you're having fun and "Good Times" - It Flies.
Aug 24 — Walking under the giant MTV Moon Man in the Barclays Center at the VMA's rehearsal
Aug 23 — Me, Robin Thicke, his son Julian and Pharrell Williams in our dressing room at the MTV VMA's
Aug 22 — Avicii, Mystery Skulls and I were writing the 3rd of 3 killer songs this day
Aug 21 — Adam Lambert, me and Avicii working on our 2nd killer track as well as a Billboard Magazine Article
Aug 20 — Mystery Skulls worked with me, Adam Lambert and Avicii on the first of 3 intensive days of recording
Aug 19 — DJ Prince Paul, me and DJ/Comedian Russell Peters at the first Nile Rodgers Dance Party in Riverhead
Aug 18 — Me and Adam Lambert at Cafe Luxembourg figuring out our set for the NR Dance Party
Aug 17 — Starting construction on the Nile Rodgers Dance Party Stage
Aug 16 — I'd come home from the Hamptons to my housekeeper's note about this Cicada which is almost 1/2 the size of my iPhone in a Mophie
Aug 15 — The latest Nile Rodgers Fender Hitmaker Prototype arrived and it sounds perfect
Aug 14 — I took a shot from my kitchen at high tide which gave me an idea for a song
Aug 13 — I got to enjoy one of a few days at home this summer - After this shot we went to see a movie
Aug 12 — I caught this bird flying off my dock and some song lyrics instantly popped into my head
Aug 11 — Some took a screenshot of a gig related tweet and noted I'm followed by President Obama
Aug 10 — I attended Author's Night in East Hampton - Here I was photographed with music mogul Clive Davis
Aug 9 — We filled in for D'Angelo in Frisco and drew 35,000 People - POV from the mixing console
Aug 8 — I figured out which white suit I'd perform in the next day
Aug 7 — I did promos for the August 19 Nile Rodgers Dance Party
Aug 6 — Me, Kim, and Folami played the Jimmy Fallon Show with The Roots
Aug 5 — We did Good Day NY with the fab Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly
Aug 4 — I watched my neighbors getting ready for a day out on Long Island Sound
Aug 3 — I took a selfie with DJ Seth Troxler's wonderful mom who was on the plane with me from Europe
Aug 2 — This awesome crowd in Sete, France got so wild that my road manager was bloodied trying to hold them back
Aug 1 — Bono and me with a few new friends in my dressing room before a CHIC concert in Vence, France
